[edit] Company profile

Korilog is a bioinformatics company providing the Life Science community with innovative software solutions in the key areas of data integration, visualisation and management. Created in 2006 by Patrick Durand, former researcher at INRIA (Rennes, France), Korilog provides both ready-to-use software solutions (see below), as well as bioinformatics R&D consulting services.

  • KoriBlast

Within the Life Science community, the BLAST program is at the heart of nearly all computer-based analysis of biological sequences. However, using and analysing Blast reports is time consuming and represent a tedious work. In order to make BLAST data analysis an easy work, Korilog provides KoriBlast, a reliable graphical environment dedicated to Blast data mining. KoriBlast combines Blast searches with advanced data management capabilities and a state-of-the-art graphical user interface. KoriBlast can be useful for research purposes as well as to teach bioinformatics.

KoriBlast proposes:

- a BLAST scheduler capable of comparing at the same time multiple query sequences against multiple sequence databases using a network or a local BLAST engine

- several graphical user interfaces and analysis tools to view easily and to explore BLAST results in various ways, facilitating the interpretation of the data

- the retrieval of data from the NCBI Entrez databases, integrating valuable information directly into the graphical BLAST reports

- an easy-to-use query system allowing to locate relevant information while reducing the amount of data to analyse
